Privacy Policy

1. Overview
This policy explains what information Springuplist collects, why, and how it's used. It covers two kinds of people: founders, who have a Springuplist account, and waitlist members, who've joined a founder's waitlist but don't have an account of their own.
2. Information we collect
From founders: your name, email address, country, the goals you select during onboarding, and the mailing address you provide for your broadcast emails. If you buy credits, we keep a record of the transaction — amount, status, and a reference number — but not your full card details, which are handled directly by our payment processor, Paystack.
From waitlist members: the email address (and optional name) you provide when joining a waitlist, your IP address at signup, and your referral activity — all used to maintain your queue position and detect duplicate or abusive signups.
Automatically: we set a session cookie when a founder signs in, and a short-lived cookie that remembers who referred a visitor to a waitlist, so credit for that signup goes to the right person.
3. How we use information
To run the service: creating and displaying waitlist pages, tracking queue position and referrals, sending broadcasts on a founder's behalf, and processing credit purchases.
To communicate with founders about their own account — sign-in codes, confirmations, and service-related emails.
To keep the platform working as intended — preventing abuse, fraud, and duplicate signups.
4. Cookies
Springuplist uses a small number of functional cookies. A session cookie keeps a founder signed in. A referral cookie, which lasts 30 days, remembers which link a waitlist visitor arrived through, so the right person gets referral credit if they sign up.
Our public pages, including waitlist and blog pages, can also use Google Analytics to measure visits, but only if you accept analytics cookies in the choice banner shown on your first visit. If you reject, Google Analytics doesn't load. Google sets its own cookies for this, and we use the results to understand which pages are read and where visitors come from. We don't use it for advertising. You can change your choice at any time with Cookie settings in the footer. The choice itself is stored in a cookie called sl_consent.
5. Who we share information with
We don't sell personal information. We share it only with the service providers that make Springuplist work: MongoDB Atlas (database hosting), Render (application hosting), Resend (email delivery), Paystack (payment processing), and Google Analytics (visit measurement). Each only receives what it needs to do its job.
6. Broadcast emails
Broadcasts are composed and sent by individual founders to their own waitlist's members — Springuplist provides the infrastructure to deliver them. Every broadcast includes an unsubscribe link and the founder's mailing address, in line with anti-spam law. Unsubscribing stops future broadcasts from that waitlist.
7. Data retention
We keep account and waitlist data for as long as an account is active. Deleting a Springuplist account is permanent and removes the account, every waitlist it owns, and everyone who signed up to those waitlists. Transaction records are kept afterward for accounting and legal purposes, independent of the account itself.
8. Your choices
Founders can update their account information from their settings, or delete their account entirely at any time. Waitlist members can unsubscribe from any broadcast using the link included in it. For anything else — including a request to access or remove your information — contact us at [email protected] and we'll handle it directly.
9. Security
We take reasonable, standard precautions to protect the information we hold, including encrypted connections and a sign-in process that doesn't require you to create or store a password with us. No method of storing or transmitting data is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.
10. Children's privacy
Springuplist isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we'll remove it.
11. International users
Springuplist is operated from Nigeria, and the service providers listed above may process information in other countries. By using Springuplist, you understand your information may be transferred to and processed in a country other than your own.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product changes. We'll update the date below whenever we do.
